NOA2 approved case not sent to NVC

Ok so I've only just noticed that in the picture of my NAO2 my fiancé sent to me, it doesn't state it's been sent to the NVC

First paragraph just states 'The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate'. I was under the impression that ALL fiancé visa cases were sent to the NVC to get a case number, BEFORE being sent to the beneficiaries US embassy!

Has anybody else encountered this and if so, what does it mean and will my case still be sent to the NVC.

It's beeb 28 days and still no case number so I'm wondering where my case is. I've not come across this on the site before so it's caught me off guard!!

They all say that, but when it updates on USCIS case status check, it says it's gone to DOS.

CSC seems to be a bit erratic about actually updating the status when sent. Have you tried calling NVC?

They basically say they are handing off to DOS with confusing wording.

DOS=NVC=consulate. All under the same umbrella.

USCIS is under a different umbrella.

CSC doesn't seem to update anything on the tracking site after approval, or do they? I personally have never received any update after approval.

My NOA2 hard copy states " We have sent the original visa petition to the department of state national visa centre (NVC)". It may be the case that they've sent it to London.

You are correct: CSC does not do any more updates once your petition is approved.

OP- CSC sometimes takes awhile to send approved petitions to the NVC. No reason to panic just yet. Once it has passed the 35 day mark, you will then have to be pro-active and take a few extra steps (e-mailing NVC a copy of your NOA2, putting in a service request with USCIS, contacting your congressperson are 3 possible steps).

As for your NOA2, from what I've read on this board, that is sometimes what the NOA2 says for whatever reason. Rest assured your petition will first go to NVC before the consulate first.

This is why I'm so confused. I can see we have the same service centre, NOA2 days apart, yet the notices aren't the same!!!

I'm fast approaching the 35 day mark, and as for we not panicking, well I've not seen many cases recently that have taken so long to get to the NVC. If I don't get a case number by . . . Let's say Monday, I'm gonna email in!

Well a couple months ago, it was pretty standard for petitions to take 30+ days to go from CSC to NVC. It ebbs and flows. Don't send an e-mail to the address posted on NVC's website. You'll never get a reply. Scan your NOA2 and send it to nvcresearch@state.gov. They'll take a month to reply to you if you're still waiting. No joke. I speak from experience.

Edited to add: I assume you've called NVC and they said they have no record of your petition?

Yep!! I've called numerous times! Just spoke with one of their most incompetent surporvisors!!! When I asked questions he just sat there and didn't even answer or would just say 'I wouldn't like to speculate', in the most monotone voice you have ever heard.

Needless to say the conversation ended in me letting him know how incompetent he is, that he should be demoted and me hanging up.

That's the email address the last gave me on then phone before she transferred me. Unless it's past the 35 day mark I see no point in emailing because they wouldn't get back to me in a timely manner anyway.

I'll just wait and wait and wait. Not much else I can do.
