CR1 - After ISSUED: go back and forth to US job hunting?

Hiya,

I have my CR1 interview on May 13 - so excited.

I live in Toronto; my USC in Boston.

My plan is to spend a few non-consecutive days job hunting there - i.e. go for a Monday of prospecting/interviews and come back to Toronto, then maybe the next Friday for followups and come back. Etc.

Is that a problem w/customs? Do you have to pick up & move and not look back once you get the visa? (Is that reasonable?)

Technically, you get a residence to pick up and leave, to live in the US.

June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!

As far as I know the stamp at the POE on your CR-1 visa is equivalent to a 1 year GC. It's not like the K-1 visa which is a one time entry.

Maybe someone else here can confirm this.

As far as I know the stamp at the POE on your CR-1 visa is equivalent to a 1 year GC. It's not like the K-1 visa which is a one time entry.

Maybe someone else here can confirm this.

The only stamp that is placed in a passport of a CR-1 visa holder by CBP is a standard entry stamp with pertinent information written in. This in combination with the visa itself will act as a temporary green card until the actual one arrives. This temporary green card is valid for one year.
