What do I send in as proof of meeting for the I-129F?

I just followed the instructions on the petition. Nothing more, nothing less. And the I-130 was approved quickly. I'm still waiting on the I-129F (submitted Jan. 29th).

I am however, assembling a folder of "supporting documents" such as photos, joint bank accounts, joint tax filing, etc.

But that is all for her interview at the Embassy.

I'm not sure what proof (to show we have meet within 2 yrs of filing) I need to send in with the I-129F petition that I will be filing if and when I receive an NOA1 on the I-130 petition.

Do I send in the same documents as with the I-130, or other documents like e-ticket stubs, picture etc. Please advise me on this.

Hi, you probably submitted the I-130 before 1/31/07.. There has been some new changes for us "new" people waiting to apply.. Pretty much they want all the "stuff" that you need to present at the interview right away now.. I guess "proof" of ongoing marriage can also include the previous things (for example, I have Skype call logs from November 2005 - January 2007).. I'll print some of those out (and print out the rest for the interview).. also look for telephone records (landline to her home) and emails, IM chats, especially pictures (wedding/honeymoon + at least 3 different background settings (not including wedding) with other family members).. this should be more than enough.. If you can't get the "supporting" letters, that should be fine.. just have more proof from other stuff.. (hotels receipts, wedding ring receipt, and the such)...

I sent one photograph that showed us together in front of the local consulate and holding the daily paper with the date clearly shown. It was sufficient in my case. I brought much more proof. The thing is that by law the consular officer must read everything that you submit. So if you send twenty thousand e-mails they will look for an excuse to deny and hope that it will end up in someone elses pile.

For beammeup, sorry about that... I just looked that you submitted January 29... there are some new rules for people applying January 31 according to the I-130 (additions to #7 in the instructions).. so I'm not sure.. oh boy, I'm getting confused now.. ... but good luck with your application!!

For tiberonsuave, did you apply before 1/31/07? There is a new version that expires in 11/30/07 with some new additions to Rule #7 in the I-130 instructions .. but anyway, good luck with your application!!

me confused, me confused... but the other guys applied before 1/31/07, so it doesn't apply to them? I just want to send something simple, like everyone else.. the I-130, G-325A, and photos + certificate.. :wacko: :wacko: All we need is just one recent photo of the two of us?? are all the wacko eyes moving at the same speed? I'm even confused there...

Hi Gogo,

Try not to stress over this too much. I sent mine in prior to the new form and only submited two photos & the marriage certificate as evidence. Not sure if I will get a RFE for the affidavits but at the time I was unable to get the affidavits in a timely matter so I sent in my packet w/o out. I am in fact waiting to recv it from my sister and brother-in-law for the RFE or interview whichever one comes first. I also am getting a copy from my sister just in case. I would say if you have any of the new evidence then send it if not then send what you have. As long as you send all the requirements you might be ok. I don't think anyone knows for sure.

Yes I started my journey when they were called INS. I sent a few items. The problem SOME people in the past have had is sending them everything on the list of EXAMPLES. The list was not meant to be all inclusive just a LOST of SOME things that were acceptable.

The paper jockeys at USCIS really don't need too much. Think quality instead of quantity. The best evidence we provided was MY presence at the interview...

Simple solution to all this. Just send the OLD form and start gathering stuff form now until your interview.

Yes, it could be you are right.. it is possible to submit old forms now.. but I am applying in April 2007.. haha, going back on a trip in March... so I'm not sure by that time I have a good excuse not to use the 'new' I-130 form..

That is what I did and hopefully it will be enough. I will attends my husband interview w/a binder w/add'l evidence.
