Changing interview location after CC

Hi all,

Any body here got CC and waiting for interview for IR1/CR1 at Cairo Embassy. How long does it roughly take. it seems to me that Egyptian Embassy has all the cases on hold..

Any tips.

Meanwhile I am resident in the UAE. Would take time if I requested now to have the interview at the UAE Embassy, after I had CC.

What is the possibilities of requesting to change the location of the interview from one country to another, after receiving CC and before interview is scheduled.

If you are a resident of the UAE, you can interview there. If your case as been routed to Cairo, contact the Embassy in Abu Dhabi to have your file transferred.

Thanks Ryan. Would you please advice me if this will delay the case dramatically or no. The reason I am asking about changing, to avoid the hassle of traveling to Cairo just for the interview. And most important, is that I see that the Cairo embassy hasn't processed any interviews for a while. it seems that there is some delays there.

Cairo can take up to 8 months to book an interview after CC but I do not know how long the other embassy takes. There is an interview thread you could check. I would move the case personally. It shouldn't take more than 60 days. You will have to provide proof that you are legally residing in the UAE.
