Mrs thb how are you ??? Hope all is well

Thank you!! It's so hot lol The temperature difference is like greater than Toronto. It's 65F then 95F. We are still trying to get everything set up in the apartment. Furniture and stuff!! :) But very glad to be home at last.

And thank you for letting me know. We haven't gotten around to DMV yet. We will do so later this week. How long does it take to do the road test? Did you get yours done yet?

Congrats!!!!!

Quick question. Do I need to scan and include a copy of the bar code sheet that we got from NVC in my AOS and IV emails?

When I emailed my documents I didn't include barcodes but I made sure the case number was on every email I sent ... But if you want to you can the bar code is for actual mail.

Goodluck

Hi, I got my confirmation e-mail today (August 29), saying they received my file on August 25. Is this my scan date?

The funny thing is, I applied together with my daughter, who's eight. My case moved normally while hers was stuck at DS-261 (case locked, according to the NVCs reps). Yesterday we finally managed to convince them to let us talk to a supervisor who finally unlocked it.

But I sent our documents together...I got the confirmation email for my documents, but not for hers.

We are getting ready to submit our package to NVC. Just waiting on a few things from joint sponsor which we should get this weekend.

Does anyone know if EP would be a good idea at this time or is it much slower now or?

I wanted to do EP because I thought it would just be easier then mailing it all in.

Thanks

As far as I remember EP is for certain countries. I don't think it's our choice either to send electronically or mail.

Hi brentos,

I've also had the choice of choosing between regular mail and EP, and I chose EP, but I'm not sure if I had any advantage over it (other than saving money).

It's definitely more nerve-wrecking than regular email, I can guarantee you.

From what I read from other applicants, NVC usually sends a receipt confirmation within 2 days of sending documents through regular mail.

I have two cases: mine and my daughter's. I got receipt from mine 6 days later, after practically begging them to do so. For my daughter, it took 9 days, and they kind of messed it up: I sent it on the 24, but they said they only received it 3 days later (which moved my scan date in 3 days).

So in the end, the only real advantage you have is to save some money. Is it expensive for you to send?

I did EP. The only advantage with EP was if you call and find out you got checklist and you know what's the checklist for you can e-mail it to them right away without waiting the barcode checklist.

EP is slower then the normal processing

Do you have any idea how much slower? A few days? A week? Or is it like double the time?

brentos,

I'm curious too, since my case is still being reviewed.

I will look at dwheels spreadsheet for the countries that have EP exclusively. I'll post the results here!
