It is a quandary, isn't it?

It's a quandary indeed! :-)

We simply saved the money by not sending pictures with the renewal and figured if they really needed them (and I bet they don't) they'd RFE us; banking on we wouldn't need the new card anyway because we'd be approved before (and we were). However now who knows for some oldtimers...

Here's another quandary for you. So yesterday I wrote my name and alien registration number on the back of my four $22 passport photos, put them in two little plastic bags and clipped them to the [unnecessary] renewal forms. It looks like the green sharpie ink wasn't dry and the writing on the back has smudged and some has gone onto the front of two of the photos.

Do I need to go get them done again? It's going to be another $22 if I do.

I can't comprehend why a June filer would be approved before a January filer , they haven't sent me anything about expired medical either... Just waiting on another service request right now which they hope to respond to by May 9th and then if the response isn't satisfactory I'm gona go to ombudsman (would rather not spend my days off doing extra work because uscis are slacking). I got my EAD renewal a couple weeks ago, 2 weeks shy of expiration because I put in an expedite request so atleast I don't have to panic about work for a while

I didn't receive a tracking number in my email either.... I had to log into USCIS and look at the update itself and it provided a tracking number.

My problem yesterday is that USPS says it was delivered in my mailbox... but it's not there.

Mine just says:

On April 30, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by May 30, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

NO CHANGE!! Today should be the 45th day since contacting the ombudsman on march 16th...my senator not returning calls. All these june filers getting approved....ugh sigh****

Good morning everyone! It is really frustrating to see so many people waiting... My thoughts are with all the people waiting for a year or more. I know it is not fun at all. My wife and I are still in disbelief, but it's slowly sinking in. I wanted to thank everyone for their support!

Long time lurker here. Too annoyed to lurk much longer.

Filed my daughter's i-485 in April 2014, NOA1 was April 11th. Got the Interview waver letter in July of last year.

We had a series of bothersome events leading up to my wife and daughter coming here on a K-1/K-2, including 6 months of administrative processing. My wife's green card came in 6 months. My daughter's i-485 application as you can see has been less then smooth, which included the post office losing her biometrics appointment notification, then returning the letter without explination. it took at least a half a dozen calls to fix that error.

I have called the USCIS multiple times over the last 6 months and been told everything is fine with the file, its just waiting to be reviewed. I've put in inquries, only to be told the same. My last letter said that a decision will probably be coming within 45 business days. At this point I'm wondering if the file is lost in some pile on some sloppy government worker's desk, because believe me, I used to be a state worker and this really does happen as pathetic as it sounds.

The worst part is telling my 12 year old daughter to just wait a little longer so she can return home to see her grandmother whenever she wants on school breaks, instead of having to do all that AP paperwork nonsense. I should really put her on the phone whenever the USCIS peoople give me the old song and dance, so they can see what they are doing to a little girl who just wants to visit her grandmother. End/rant.

Aww Derwood, your having a hard time buddy. Maybe you could still send them in but you might get an RFE i'm not sure, I dont understand why they need them anyway, you have to go for another bio and we also send in the copy for our current card so they know its us.

Will the delay in my green card affect my removal of conditions? will I still be able to do that 2 years after marriage does anyone know?

I dunno what to do, MovinOn. I don't wanna risk an RFE really but it's so annoying as they use the biometrics photo anyway. I've still got some other passport photos from my K1 application but they are supposed to be taken within the last 30 days and of course the photos would then match ones I submitted years ago.

I don't know what to say, I don't want to tell you the wrong thing, I'm kinda ####### about things so "I" would probably redo the pics. But im sure some would risk it. Are they bad?

They're not too bad tbh. The staff at Walgreens were really nice yesterday [oh my God I love your accent, kinda thing]. I might head back down there and see if there's anything they can do to help.

Are these photos for work permit renewal? because I didnt even send any any was approved

Will the delay in my green card affect my removal of conditions? will I still be able to do that 2 years after marriage does anyone know?

If you get a GC before you are married two year you will get a two year GC and have to remove conditions within 90 days of that expiration. If you get a GC after you have been married for two years you should get a 10year card and then there are NO removal of conditions. Did that make sense?

Made perfect sense thanks! so funny thing is if they dont send me my green card until September then as soon as I get it i'll be filing for removal of conditions!
