Yea, I seem to be. My NOA date is June 17th and my local office is working on cases from august 10th or so. So yea, quite a bit behind. I'm waiting on response to a SR, dated the 16th of march, and a form filled out for the ombudsman which I sent Friday the 20th.

Just got back from the post office. USPS has lost my renewal EAD.

This is unbelievable. Absolute incompetence and having to re-file your I-765 is a joke.

March 16^th 2015: 10:04AM I got this email:

Good afternoon,

The Ombudsman's Office has reviewed your submission and contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding your case.

Please be advised that in certain cases, it may take up to 60 days to receive a response to our inquiry. We will notify you when we receive information from USCIS.

If your circumstances have changed substantially, you may contact us at cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov and reference your unique submission number 2XXXXX3.

Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman

My application was then approved

Then on the 17^th at 12:58PM I received:

Dear Sir,

USCIS has indicated that it is actively reviewing the application or petition referenced in your inquiry and should issue a decision in this case within 30 days.

Please inform the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV if you do not receive correspondence from USCIS within 45 days. Because USCIS has taken action, our office will be closing this matter.

Thank you for giving the Ombudsman’s Office the opportunity to assist you.

Then an hour later on the 17^th at 1:36PM I got:

This message serves as an update to the email sent by the Ombudsman’s Office earlier today, March 17, 2015. USCIS has indicated that it recently issued a decision regarding the application or petition referenced in your request for assistance. If you do not receive the decision notice within 15 days, please contact USCIS at 1-800-375-5283.

Since USCIS has issued a decision, our office will be closing this inquiry.

Thank you for giving the Ombudsman’s Office the opportunity to assist you.

I'm raising my Ombudsman query the second my six months is up!

Okay guys so USPS tracking is now saying DELIVERED! After that false alarm all is well, I got my card.. I don't get home for another couple of hours so I'll let you all know when I have it in my hands after a year long wait

You have your EAD/AP combo card. you can take them abroad anyway.

I got a response from my congresswoman's office. They called and sent an email. So far, they're only seeking the authorization form from us. I'm excited that we got anything from them at all.

Well I'm holding my green card, it's like the EAD but on the back it has a holographic type strip that shows your photo in the light, it's kinda cool... A years wait for this little card

Well, the AP is lame. They make you sit for hours in secondary processing at the airport. It's probably even worse at major airports like JFK.

With the Green Card you can take the US Citizens lane.

I'm going to be calling USCIS again after work to see about getting to Tier 2. I hope tier 2 is able to confirm what tier 1 confirmed yesterday, that my wife's app is in El Paso, TX already.
