My dad knows the guy personally, and says out of all the Senators, he's one of the best. He comes in and has conversations with the garage staff down there, a very personable and down-to-earth kind of guy, and also with charisma and a good personality. Dad said he wants to head up his campaign LOL!

Does he know what he is doing? Does he have real world workable ideas or is he just song and dance??

Hasn't this country had enough politicians who don't walk the talk?? This country needs someone who has shown, when the going gets tough, the tough get going..

That's a lot of cliches in one post.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Obama's father is a muslim. He doesn't stand a chance.

I'd say Condi has the best chance, that is if she declares she's going to run.

she is gay

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

White people don't have "white leaders". Hopefully, soon, the day will come when black people don't have black leaders either.
You know...if I were an African-American, I'd be pretty insulted by the idea that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were supposedly my race's "leaders" and "speak for my people."

Maybe you can't really make that claim seeing that you are not African American and that you are lacking some experiences that members of that community may have. What do you really know about African Americans to make such a statement?

Maybe. Or maybe I just know that if I were asked who I wanted as representative of my people, I wouldn't want two individuals who no one takes seriously, both of whom claim to be for the "poor and underprivileged" while they wear $1000 three-piece suits and get driven around in limos. Seems just a tad hypocritical to me, don't you think?

It's not like the other ethnic communities are free of hypocrites. Plenty of white hypocrites representing the people in DC. No shortage there, really. Again, unless you're African American, you have no way of knowing how you'd feel were you part of that community. You're making an assumption on how you'd feel were your background different but you make that assumption based on your experiences as a member of another community. Such assumption will always be flawed. ;)

I think what DeadPoolX meant is that they would not want their equivalents representing their community...

Hypocritical racism from so-called minorities seems to be at an all time high in the US. I mean have a look at all of the black power rubbish sites out there. Yet if a pro Caucasian group said 1/10,000 of the stuff that comes out of certain African-Americans, they would be branded racists, much like cattle are stamped... I by no means am saying they are all like that but there are quite a few within their community who really screw it up for the decent African-Americans who are trying to build a life for themselves, their family and are trying to do something positive for the human race, irrespective of color.. It seems that the Martin Luther King speech has gone in one ear and out of the other..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
