calling the NVC??

The phone call doesn't even go through for me anymore and I've been calling for weeks, wee hours of the morning, midnight, it doesn't matter when I call, it's the same thing and if it doesn't even "ring" you never get pass the options area, it just goes blank. I'm tired of this bullcrap. I just want to know if they've completed my case now. It's been since October and then they requested a stupid checklist and I sent that off since the first week of January. I just wanna go home and they don't even wanna answer the phone to let is know why is happening. It's just been one frustration and disappointment after another. For two years I haven't been able to see my mom because of their stupid timeline, it's so slow and it doesn't make any sense and even when you wait patiently they still want to stretch everything out.

I just want my case completed so it can be at the embassy and I don't have to deal with all these issues anymore. . Why is it so hard. .

ouch, that must not be easy at all. Im sorry for ur experience...I can't complain at all, comparing to you, but I agree,,I just can't stand at waiting day by day and trying to call and nothing...it's #######...I really hope for you, and all of us still waiting that this NVC start doing its job and help all of us.

The other way is the consulate contacting you once it receives your packet from NVC. You won't receive an e-mail from NVC and some of us never receive anything in regular mail either.

I see..thanks! I really hope either me or my fiance will reach the line finally...but if not, I guess I will wait for my embassy to contact me...

Just a little update..me and my fiance have been trying to call the NVC like crazy (our case has been approved on Febr,19) but never had the chance to be in line and talk to anybody..well today he got a mail where it was written our NVC number and all!! weird, because I thought they weren't sending anything...!

A quick update.. Our NOA2 was March 5th. Once we finally got thru to NVC after 30-40 tries, the operator said our case is not in their system yet and gave me the "try again after 2 weeks" spiel and also "we will send something in the mail after 30 days".

I said thank you, and hung up. Will try again hopefully later in the week..

We are in same line, i call today and they told me to call back in about 2 or 3 weeks because they Just receive My cases today

That's good!

It seems there is a backlog at NVC and taking 2-3 weeks just to enter the case in their system.

I have been waiting to for my case to arrive in NVC.. My NOA 2 was March 4. With what ive been reading here ing VJ, Says that start call after 2weeks.. So i am now currently waiting on the fone.. I want my case number badly

Yep, calling NVC is a test of your patience big time.

My fiance and I received NOA2 on January 23 and began calling a week later. I kept track of our case status and didn't bother calling until a few days after our status changed to 'Sent to Department of State for processing'. Each time I called I had to retry the number about 20-30 times (as said above if you hear 'Due to the high call volume...' just hang up and call again until you get something else. Ignore the messages about waiting.) and once I got past the message about high call volume I had a 45 minute wait to get an agent on the phone.

I didn't call daily, but I did call every few days. NVC received our case file and had a case number for us on February 6. TSC was fast at something at least, thanks for the over 7 month wait on that NOA2 though...

After the USCIS case status page (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) said "Your Case Was Approved" which was our NOA2, we waited until the status changed to saying "Sent to Department of State for Processing". Once this happened it means our service center sent our petition to the NVC. We waited a week after this status changed before we began calling the NVC.

True. Coz mine hasnt changed yet since " my case was approved" been 2weeks for me. And i thought uscis no longer have a say after the approval. Its already nvc case. Ive been waiting..

mine never changed to be honest.. my NoA2 had been approved on Febrary the 19th, and since that day my case is still on "being approved" but meanwhile it has already went throught the NVC (we were NEVER able to reach the line, and we were trying eveyday) and it has already been sent in my embassy in italy! we found out our case number because my fiancé got a MAIL!!

it came last night, so it took almost a month after my NoA2 was approved!
