Lhen just got done with her interview. Everything went extremely well from what she said. Interview only lasted about 5 minutes. At the end, the lady was like "I don't see anything wrong here Approved". She told her to come back on July 2nd to get her Visa. She also said not to buy any plane ticket till yet, until she has her visa in hand because of all the technical problems going on. Thank you everyone for all your help. This journey was definitely made easier by this site and all of you. Good luck to everyone else as you get closer to being with your loved ones. This is just the beginning of course but iat least we can do things together side by side from here on out. Have lots of faith, GOD is good!

Congrats! Mine is on friday. Getting really anxious about the interview

Tim traveled to the US on an ESTA visa (Visa Waiver Program). The ESTA visa gives you 90 days to stay here in the US. Tim's flight was delayed leaving resulting a in stay in the US of 90 days + 6 hours. This results in what is called a visa overstay. He did not realize it at the time so the next time he tried to come back to the US he was refused entry at immigration and he can no longer use the VWP.

Since he could not longer use the VWP, he went to the US Embassy in Dublin to get a B2 visa. They gave him a 10 year visa. But the thing is he gets interviewed every time he comes thru immigration. Today we found out why.

Hope this helps explain. We also believe this is why it took longer to get our NOA2. They had to get additional information about his refused entry.

Oh wow! I really didn't think they counted the hours! My flight was delayed leaving in April and I ended up getting a flight the next day, on the date my passport was stamped until. Do you know if there is any way of checking if they consider it an overstay?

Right? I was born and raised there. It was practically a desert when I was growing up, so to see it now is surreal, but Abu Dhabi is truly home to me. No matter where I end up living in the world, I'll always feel closest to the UAE.
