Interview went well... Normal questions from what you answered on all the forms... I-485, 130 etc. Nice guy. Didn't get seperated. He said he might send us another RFE on my I-864 cause there's something going on with my joint sponsor tax returns. Also he needs me to send back the original decree papers of my wife's first divorce. What we got from the court sent to our email is not acceptable by the Immigration. He said we should try and get all that worked out while he will try to see if his supervisor will just give it a pass. So it is either I get an Rfe which I need to respond to on time and get approved or I get greencard in the mail. He said congratulations at the end and we shook hands. We got there on time and was called in 5mins before our appointment time. I asked him about not having my EAD, he said: you don't need that... You will get your green card before you know it. This left me completely deflated!!! I went to an interview and got nothing! Now I have to keep checking my mail and text messages... Uuuurgggh.

Even though you didn't hear anything right then and there...sounds like it went well for you! Congrats!!!

I'm afraid we will get an RFE when we go in for interview, because my husband doesn't have his I94. The lawyer I spoke with said that his original passport stamp when he came in is fine...but I'm still worried, the cost to get a replacement is $330!

Is it about late registration of birth certificate? I am a little nervous I could also receive that one too because my birth was registered after two years.

Yes it did thanks, our interview is on June 10th and still haven't received EAD yet. I think I'm going to have hubby wait until he gets his GC to get SS card. Our SSA office is horrible! I wouldn't want him to have to go back twice within I would assume only a months time :)

When I changed my name it was a whole day process of waiting!

I also hate making trips to SSA office but I had to because I have a job interview coming up next week, and so far, my green card interview is not scheduled yet. Although yesterday I was surprised i only last 30 minutes.

Keep me updated please. My husband came here back in 2004 and received the paper I94 and it fell out of his passport sometime ago. So I did exactly as you did, I submitted the paperwork without it and explained we no longer had it and sent in a copy of the original passport stamp from his old passport.

I do not think you should worry too much. Your lawyer is right. The stamp in the passport that he received at the POE should be enough proof of legal entry.

I don't think you need the I-94 as long as you have a visa or passport stamp that proves you came into the country legally you should be fine. Don't worry about things like that just relax and everything will come out fine good luck!!

My husband and I applied for expedition of our EAD through our senator last thursday. And this is the response we got today from our senator.

"Due to the nature of the case and the supporting documentation, this file has been requested and will be forwarded to our expedite team for review and adjudication. Mr. Dua should receive notice of decision or further action shortly. If Mr. Dua has not received notice within 14 days, please submit a follow up inquiry.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you"
