AOS FROM K1 - Medical Question

3 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

I am filling out AOS paperwork for my husband who came on a K1 and I'm stumped.

In order, not to do a new medical, the one done in a foriegn country can't be more than a year old.

My situation is, my fiance was in a long AP process before he was issued his visa, and we ended up renewing his medical. The embassy decided they didn't need the new one, so his visa was issued on his medical that now was done in March 2014 - a year ago. Since, we did the new medical in November, does that mean we're good, or should we do a new exam? I don't know if the newer results were added to our file.

If the updated medical forms were not added to your file, then they will most likely request a new medical.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~
