Obama, Obama, did you see? Christian blood in the sea!

CBN News reports that the Coptic Christians marched to the White House yesterday calling on Obama to do something to help the Christians:
On Tuesday, a group of Egyptian-American Coptics gathered near the White House, demanding the Obama administration do more to protect Egyptian, Syrian, and Iraqi Christians.
“Obama, Obama, did you see? Christian blood in the sea,” they chanted.

According to the video, they also changed “US wake up! US wake Up! ISIS at the door! ISIS at the door!”
I don’t think anyone else in the media covered this at all. Kudos to CBN News once again!
Here are a couple more photos:

All of the above has been seen in other news media. What was 'new' beyond frequent sprinkling and emphasis on the word Christian? ISIS seems to be an equal opportunity butcher and captive enslaver. New news? Nope.

Okay if you say so. I was responding to your assertion that CBN was reporting something new. I'm not incorrect that they weren't. If that's your definition of blowing up it speaks more to yourself than to me.

A quick Google search would show you CBN was reporting something previously reported in the Washington Post regarding the protest and the story is blowing up in the Christian news/blogosphere.

I am not blowing up. Nor, it would appear, is your earth shattering thread. :reading:

the '21 christian copts martyrs' sign really bothers me.

Christians have been murdered for believing in Jesus since the beginning. When they are murdered because they are Christians, they are considered to be martyrs. Don't confuse with radical islamic terrorist who murders others and also gets killed; like a homicide bomber.

over history a ridiculous amount of people have been killed for their religion. i'm not confusing anything as i do not favor one religion over another. the idea of martyrdom repulses me, i don't care who's exalting it.

These are not martyrs. I will believe they are martyrs when the Vatican comes forward with financial aid to the coalition and when they offer to receive anyone fleeing persecution into the Vatican city. Until then these are just peons in another geopolitical war. They no more died for Christianity then were killed for Islam.

If I had an appetite for swill I'd kneel down at the trough, with pigs. I'm sure it would be more palatable.

It's a word that describes someone who was murdered for their beliefs. That is precisely what happened. 21 Coptic Christian men were kidnapped and had their heads cut off on video. This happened not as a random event, it happened because they were Christian.

Obviously you don't like Christians, and that's cool. You're in good company with the libs.
