As a pet lover I feel your sadness. It's one of lifes hardest choices to know when to lay to rest a pet, one wants to be a bit selfish and keep their companship, but you do not want them to suffer. Hope your coping well, I'm sure he is looking down from doggie heaven and bragging to the rest of the pups how he had such great human parents. take care.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

We have thought and thought about this and we were sure we were going to scatter his ashes in the park where he used to chase all the squirrels but Alan cannot do that, he said he would be on his own and we cannot leave him. So we are going to bring him with us and when we buy our new house we will save a special part of the garden for him, plant a tree and who knows, one day he may even have his very own squirrels in there

Tia, our female rotty, who is also missing him terribly is booked on the same flight as us, so we will still all be together, which is good  and who knows, one day when we can think about him withour a tear in our eyes, probably a good way off yet, but we may even get a Morgan 2 but he will have to look like Morgan 1. I think that might be a fitting testimonial for him.

I know a friend of ours had german hunting dogs and his first one was called Talis and he ended up, many years later, on Talis 4

Oh Val, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Morgan. My thoughts are with you both, as well as Tia. May you all have a good flight to the States. (F)

Awww....English park would be a beautiful place, but I'm SO glad you decided to bring him with you instead. You orginally said Alan was thinking 'he would want to be where he loved, etc" but I bet he would just want to be with YOU. (F) (F) M.
