Sending documents to NVC

Hi,

I have a question. Can I send packets with collected documents to NVC before paying the IV Application fee or should I wait until the payment becomes invoiced and i can complete the DS-260 form? I have already paid the AOS fee and submitted DS-261.

it seems just ridiculous that we need to wait for them to say okay to submit the application and pay fees. Anyone know how many days this takes for them to allow us this permission.

If you go to the NVC website it even states to send the AOS and IV packages together. Regardless you paid the IV. By the time they review it you will have paid it so why waste time. Soon as you pay AOS send them both in have one 60 day windown not two.

There are a lot of posts on this site about this topic. Yes you can send both packets in after your invoice fee shows paid, and before the IV fee is invoice and the DS260 application form is fill out. Once the AOS fee is paid, you will need to print two AOS document cover sheet from the payment portal. It will have the address where to send the packets to, you will need one for each packet, (you can use the AOS cover sheet with the IV packet too). You will also need the NVC document checklist sheet with

the packets. Send both packets separated but in same envelope to the Address on the AOS cover sheet.

IT is recommended to do it this way as you not waiting any additional time. If you wait until everything has been paid to send in the documents. you would of added at least an extra month of waiting time

It shows that you are doing DCF. I thought everything was process at the embassy for DCF. I am not to sure about the DCF process.

i have a question. you were telling that AOS and IV documents should be send together as in one package. what i did is i sent them the same day but with different envelopes because my AOS is in checklist. is it okay? i mean does it make a delay to review it

yes separated in different smaller envelopes then put together in one big envelope and send to the same address. I do not think it would cause a delay if you sent them separate in the mail as long as both of them get there about the same time the NVC will send them to the proper departments
