Hello Everyone,

i have few questions regarding on question 34.1 ..

1. is it asking for how we meet in person last 2 years? or i need to explain Whole Relationship from when we started to now?

2. What format i should type on? full sentence paragraphs OR after entry sentence create like a table with date and where we meet and how long we were together? im leaning more towards creating table because it will be more easy to read and understand what do you think?

For this question we did the following:

In the small space provided in the form -> We mentioned briefly when we met in person like (1st meeting) (Date) (Place of Meeting)... and then we wrote (See attached document 1.1 or something) and we attached an A4 sheet and described briefly our meeting.

K1

08/Jan/2015 - I129F sent to Dallas

14/Jan/2015 - Email received - case has been accepted and routed to CSC - NOA1

18/Feb/2015 - Case Approved on USCIS - NOA2

04/Mar/2015 - NVC received the case

13/Mar/2015 - Singapore Embassy received the case

19/Mar/2015 - Packet 3 Received

20/Mar/2015 - Packet 3 Sent

AOS/ AP/ EAD

18/Jul/2015 - I-485/I-131/I-765 filed

24/Jul/2015 - NOA for all 3

24/Aug/2015 - Biometrics done but it was originally scheduled for 17/Aug/2015

We answered this question as a one sentence response i.e "We first met on X date at Y location" but then also included a letter where I outlined our "relationship timeline" as a piece of secondary evidence, unrelated to this question, which included dates, locations and durations of all of our subsequent meetings and what we did together on those trips. Hope that helps.

Immigration Timeline

 

June 2013: Met whilst working at a summer camp in Michigan 

K1

November 1st 2014: I-129f submitted for K1 visa

February 24th 2015: Visa in hand!

February 26th 2015: POE at Las Vegas airport, then onwards to Oregon! 

March 6th 2015: Marriage (with a "real" wedding to follow next year on 7/6/2016)

March 9th 2015: AOS, EAD & AP submitted

September 22nd 2015: Interview

January 14th 2016: Two year Green card received -phew!

ROC

August 8th 2017: 90 day window begins! ROC time!

September 28th 2017: Biometric Appointment in Portland, OR

March 5th 2018: Case received by local office

August 18th 2018: 18 month extension letter mailed

December 2018: Case moved to another office

February 2019: I was emailed that I was approved and my card was in production the same day of my N400 interview 😂

N400

August 8th 2018: Window opens to submit naturalization application

August 13th 2018: N400 Application submitted online 

August 14th 2018: NOA1

September 6th 2018: Biometrics

February 6th 2019: Interview Date! APPROVED!

February 6th 2019: I was asked to return later the same day for my Oath Ceremony! :dance:

one more question..

I was married with my ex wife when i meet with my now fiance. but there were no attractions between us from the day we meet to year after i was divorced from my ex wife..

for the 34.a ... do you think i should include the whole story from when i was married ... (because thats when we meet with my now fiance)

Question 34.a is only asking HOW you met in person. Don't over think this or make it more complicated than it really is. The following statement will suffice:

WE MET ON [date] IN [place].

That's it. You do not need to write a story of your relationship for this question, this is only asking you HOW YOU MET.
