Hi, Twinkie. My interview is early next month, so I'm also organizing the requirements. :) Would love to hear some confirmation from fellow VJers if the checklist is complete. Thanks!

hi :) may i know when is your interview date? and what time?

Ur checklist looks fine :) But i want to share some additional tips :)

1. You don't need the 2nd & 3rd page of ur appointment letter and also the 2nd page of ds 160.

For step 1, (outside the embassy) they will only be needing the 1st page of ds 160 & appointment letter along with the passport.

2. Sometimes, the 2x2 visa photos are not needed specially if u already included the photos on your I-129F..but just to be safe, bring the 3pcs with u.,dont forget to write your name at the back.

3. Make separate envelope for the pre-screening (Filipino Consul, if asked) items are the ff:

MRV receipt

Bcert

Cenomar

NBI

Affidavit of support

form 1040

W2

Paystubs

Brown envelope from SLEC (the medical receipts, CD & copy of your vaccine sheets should be kept separately)

Pictures together

*chat logs, skype calls etc..NOA2 employment cert & letter of intent (provide if asked by Filipino consul)

Eat heavy breakfast :D

Don't plan to go super early. USEM will prioritized seafarer applicants..6am is fine if your schedule is 730am..

2X2 passport photos are listed in the embassy instructions letter, what you sent to USCIS has ZERO bearing on the process at USEM

There is no reason to arrive 1.5 hours early, 30-45 is more than enough, if the embassy isn't open yet when you line up the guards will arrange people by visa type and appointment times, once the embassy is open things move fairly smoothly.

*NOA2 (provide if asked by Filipino.

Ok, obviously there's a bit of discrepancy here because the Filipino rep asked you for the NOA2 even though it wasn't in the embassy letter. But anyway, does the NOA2 have to be in original form? Or scanned and printed out is fine? Thanks.

Don't have a clue why the Filipino rep would ask for the NOA2 as it is not needed for the interview process... no one (aside from you) is asked from it. But if you feel the need to bring the NOA2 bring only a copy, keep the original safe as it is needed later in the STates.
