I was employed for the first part of 2014 as a teacher when I went back to graduate school. My income for 2014 meets the requirements given at the USCIS site. Does this mean I do not need an cosponsor? I currently am employed as a graduate assistant, and would not make the income requirement under that job.

I believe you will have to submit something along the line of justifying your continued income at least for the immediate forseeable future. Having enough income at the time of filing might not be enough. When I put in my I-134, I had to include a letter from my employer clearly stating that my employment with them is secured for the forseeable future. Hope this helps! Or you can also have a co-sponsor

Your current income needs to meet the income requirement, not simply your past. Someone could have made $100k 1 or 2 years ago, but are now unemployed and making zero. Their income would be zero and would not meet the requirement, despite how much they made last year.

Do you have assets you could use for any shortcoming in your income?

Then you need a cosponsor.....know that Manila frowns upon cosponsors for K-1s. Read up in the regional forum.

Philippines as of now isn't requesting AOS for K1 Visas per last month per recent reports,

If they do if your tax return/transcript is more than poverty level then you are good.

They seem to be doing US visa interview like processing line as of late, I have never seen interviews be so short, Just a couple of questions and boom you are approved.

Good time to be doing a Interview at USEM.........

how long can that be expected to last though? I just sent i129 two weeks ago.

Nobody Knows.

Last week a person asked them directly if they needed I -134 and the CO told him, "No, We really never needed them"

I am in a same boat as OP. I am a graduate student with just a temporary internship. Can anyone tell me what would be my option? I have a brother who is going to cosponsor my fiancee. Please help me

Then your brother is your cosponsor.

My fiance ITR and w2 2014 is not that high because he just only new at work. Because he just graduated last august 2014. But now his job is full time and regular employee and meets the poverty guidelines too. So were ok on that? He sent to me the i-134 along with the itr,w2,paystubs,and employment letter from work. No need for co sponsor then?
