42 DAYS TO GET A CASE NUMBER???

HUH! Thanks a lot for that information.

Would you know when the USCIS sends the file to NVC if my status will change? Thanks much.

It will probably take them 2 weeks to receive the file, sometimes quicker, sometimes slower. When you call the NVC they will let you know if they have received the paperwork from the USCIS. Once they have the paperwork it has been taking approximately 30-42 days to get a NVC Case Number.

It never hurts to call, it only takes time, some people you talk with will be more helpful than others. Generally they are all very professional.

Unlike the USCIS, the NVC will be a call heavy experience. It helps pass the time, once you get your case number, things will start to move much more quickly.

Thank you so much very appreciated. I will start the calling fun on Tuesday which will be a week after my approval.

nvc received my case on 1/29/15 and nvc had the case # by 2/23/15.

Now this is good news...25 days roughly is improvement from 40s reported here. Thanks for adding that!
