Working for a foreign company while waiting for EAD

To me the OP is not asking for a new job, just to continuing what they are doing in Canada, for a Canadian firm.

I just do not see anything wrong with it, as all the out-put from the job, goes to a Canadian firm, and no benefits are gained for any company in the US, so this would not be subject to EAD approval to me, maybe I am wrong, its just my thinking.

As far as paying taxes, I would consult a good CPA.

Yeah, you should be pretty safe as long as the following criteria is met:

1) You are an actual bonafide employee of the Canadian company (ie. not a self employed contractor or freelancer).

2) The foreign company doesn't have an official US presence.

3) In the process of being paid, the money doesn't touch the American banking system.

I would say none are relevant.
