Hello wise people of VJ, any help with the below mentioned concerns would be highly appreciated. :star:

a) In the i129, there is a section "If your fiancé(e) is currently in the United States, complete
the following:".

The instruction is pretty simple, but I was wondering if I still need to fill in the information from when I was on an F student VISA in the US (when I met John). I'm no longer in the US.

b) I read that the application packet needs to have signed letters of intent from both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Do I need to mail John the original signed letter of intent? (stating I will marry him within 3 months of entering the US) ? Or will a scanned copy do?

c) How to efficiently organize the packet??? Folder or no folder?

Thanks in advance for your help, VJ-ers.. :goofy:

Regards,

Bimal & John

a) I think you shouldn't write anything in that section since you're not currently in the States, right?

b) Mail the original one

c) Dividing your packet in specific sections and include a cover letter at the beginning explaining the content

Good luck ;)

VavaBB, you're not the only one to have found Question 15 in the I-129F a little unclear. I did also, and discussed it in this post:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/532231-question-15-in-i-295f/#entry7434825

If you (the fiance) are NOT in the USA at that time of filing the I-129F, you do not need to fill in the information for section 15a - 15h. If you have previously been in the USA, then just tick "yes" for question 15.

a) Leave blank if the Fiance is not currently in the US

b) Yes, original ink-signed letters would be good

c) Add a cover page listing the order of the documents
