I literally just got off the phone with call center and they acknowledged that my case is outside the processing time. After beginning the service request to inquire about the case, she informs me that they are working on December cases, and that she cannot continue unless my date is before the current processing date. This is what I expected, so I'm not surprised. The system is flawed, giving a general processing date rather than a specific one for my visa category. She also said that I could make an infopass appt to be given more details about my case. I told her I will probably do that in a few days. I'm not worried. Just thought you guys would like an update. :D

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

I called them as well and they told me that I am still within the processing time frame but the USCIS website for Nebraska was updated on July 2, 2015 and it still posted a 5 month processing time. My case reached 5 months on July 11. So to me I am outside NSC processing time but they don't see it that way.

I guess it's advisable to wait till you reach 6 months atleast before calling USCIS, they say so on their enquiry page online.

All the best!

Yup, she acknowledged it's outside the processing time that they estimated on website. That's why she started service request. But then the flaw of the system, or lack of training, prevents her from interpreting the (default) message from Nebraska Service Center. I have faith that we are in good hands.

Does anybody know how long the NVC process is? I got my NOA2 approved on July 13th so how many months are left approximately until I get my visa?

No exact estimate but it's another 2-3 months at NVC, closer to 3.It takes about 2 months to get the packages and fees paid, and about 5 weeks nowadays for NVC to process the packages once complete though NVC says it can take upto 60 days. This is based on what I'm reading on NVC but there are some people that have been waiting for 5 months due to backlog. Not sure how recent invoice issues added to backlog.

After NVC it goes to embassy and the interview is usually scheduled in like 6 weeks after they receive case file. Pakistan is a country where AP is common, so depending on if you get put in AP it can be another 2-3 months until visa in hand. I think another 5-6 months at least if no major issues. The total I-130 process time is average 10-12 months.

Just a quick update: i scheduled infopass appt for next Tuesday so that i can submit a service inquiry for NSC.
