Same as TaniaG. Right away after my husband got the case number and IIN, we could log on right away, filled out DS-261 and paid AOS bill. We are waiting for our IV bill now, but we've sent out our AOS and IV package (on the same day as we got welcome letter).

For everyone who is waiting for case number or IIN, it's better for you to prepare the next documents needed. Esp if it takes several day for you to get police certificate. Thank God I don't need to send out police cert since I am from Indonesia.

I'm guessing the 19th-24th... if they haven't assigned it yet

Hey! From what I've been reading on the forum, people got their case # assigned after 11-12 days after NVC received it from the service centers. So maybe you'll get yours around the 23rd, 24th? They received ours on the 7th and we're planning to call again tomorrow and check if they assigned to us a case #. I will post here on the forum if we have any news :)

Hey guys,

Just an update...a very frustrating one...Before I knew about this forum/website...I hired an attorney to file my case. After it was submitted, I realized I could do the process myself, without paying $$$$$ to an attorney. Well, every time she would have an update, I knew 2 weeks in advance since I been on top of the case since it was in USCIS. So I decided, to cut the ties with the attorney and do it myself and save that $$$$ and use it instead in the expenses that will come. Now that the DS-261 is available for me, the attorney automatically became the agent, so now I have to call NVC to remove the attorney from my case, and put me as the agent... ughh.. just some extra work that I have to do.

Anyways....I hope I made the correct decision on removing the attorney and continue the journey myself, of course, with the help of all of us here, I am sure I will be able to!

I just want to say, you guys are a huge help and support!!

Let's all hold (virtual) hands and go through this together.

For those still waiting on NOA2, we are praying for you!!

od day me and my wife just received an email from the nvc stating that were missing some documents

here it goes

[x] You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] A written statement indicating why you did not file _______2014___________________ returns.

[x] _2014__________________________________Federal income tax returns, IRS printout, or Letter 1722 issued by IRS

[x]___2014___W-2 forms(s) or IRS Tax Transcript(s).

I didn't file because I'm with my wife in Philippines may-september 2014 and when I get back homevto states september I can find job in my town where I lived my father is my co-sponsor and I cant stand to do jobs because I have a medical problem and last jul 2015 I received a letter from thebcourt for my disability hiring. need someone help about this.

questions

-I'm in the philippines right now what should I do? there is no way to get those request from IRS.

-is that smart Im gonna mention my medical problem and the letter that I revceived from court for disabilty?

-how can I start do that letter?

please help its greatly appreciated. thank u so much

No updates yet. Tried to submit a service request online and I couldn't because it says we are not beyond the normal processing time. I haven't bothered calling this week, I know they are just going to tell me what I can already see online. I did see though that the processing date for TSC changed to January. I hadn't thought of making an info pass appointment, that might be worth a shot. According to igor's list, I'm the last VJ person with an active timeline waiting on approval from Jan or Feb at TSC....

Nothing to lose with infopass appt. Hopefully, they are able to tell you if the case is with an adjudicator. They can give more detail than the customer service line. If the infopass does shed any light, call your senator's office to ask details about the hold up.

I actually already reached out to my Congressman's office, but haven't heard back... I'll let you know if I'm able to go in person.
