Working while waiting for EAD to be mailed

My ead got approved and is getting mailed to me, should get it sometime this week, maybe tomorrow. Can I go ahead and apply for jobs?

You can apply for jobs.

You can not work until you get the EAD in your hands.

This is the message I read when I was checking my case, On February 5, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

my question is, what is the next step? is it in the mailing period or am I waiting for a whole new update for the mailing step? It sucks to wait. I read on other forums that they give you like a tracking number with the update.

If it has not changed to "mailed" then your card is still being processed.

No tracking number was given for me, mine arrived the next day.

Just relax and wait.
