Hello,

You may Rose, I'm new at this... The the situation is, I want to petition for a Fiance VISA. My fiance lives in Ghana. Any my income is on $17,000 and some change per year, which requires me to have a Sponsor to sign an affidavit of support.

The thing is, my parents are not much cooperative and they're only giving me their W2s. Please give me some suggestions on what to do. And if there are any loopholes with bypassing the low income affidavit.

Welcome to the forum.

Not likely. That is why the poverty guidelines and financial requirements are in place.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Okay, that's fine, but do have any suggestions for me? They gave me W2s. I know they need to complete an affidavit of support. Would that be the only thing they need to complete?

They need to I-864 to begin with. Provide W-2s, complete tax returns, 6 months worth of paystubs and letter from employer. You have to do same thing regardless of your income. No loopholes, its all for a reason.

:guides: easily accessible at the top of the forum page. In particular, the K1 Guide and the I-134 FAQs: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Another great source of information is contained in this USCIS link: http://www.uscis.gov/i-134

This is the K-1 forum, so it would be an I-134 for the interview, not I-864.

The Advise from Members here seems a little off-base. There is No Petition Filed at this time and No Financial Requirements are needed at this time. The advise would from me would be get another part-time job since the 129-F will take time to process and proof of income comes later.

If the parents are willing to supply W-2's there maybe a conflict of approval from the parents but said OK to this. They just need to understand from the OP all the requirements of Co-Sponsoring. Additionally, if the OP can change his financial situation before the interview there maybe no need for a Sponsor. And yes, at the interview is when you need the I-134 and Not the I-864 which is needed for AOS.

This is a K-1 Petition.

OP.. You can File your 129-F at this time but be sure your employment outlook will be better soon. One more point.... You can extend the Petition but File if you don't foresee meeting the 2 year requirement of meeting before the 129-F is submitted to USCIS..

Good Luck
