Hello Everyone!

Does any CR1 here experienced to re-schedule an interview online? I was having a hard time yesterday and needed to stop, on the Select Visa Priority section there is Regular and Returning Resident. When I chose regular the calendar earliest date is March 23 which is so late for me(clock is ticking as I finished my DOT, took my first half of my medical last Friday and I only have until May 05 on my medical validity) as much as possible I would like to have an interview on the first week of March. Then I tried to choose returning resident and there's some available left for February and the whole month of March is wide open. What is the regular or returning resident means? I will appreciate all your help. Thank you

sorry, most CR-1 visa chasers don't do this,

instead the appointment is set by NVC.

exceptions:

1. DCF cases and

2. expedited cases.

are you either?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Immigrant visa applicants fall under "regular".

IR/CR-1 do not schedule their interview, nor re-schedule their interview, exception being you are a DCF, an expedite or had the sputum test/DOT.

If you are trying to reschedule because you simply want another date, you can get the different interview date scheduled BUT plan to be turned away and told to come back on the interview date NVC scheduled for you. That is what happened to the last IR/CR-1 I know of that tried to re-schedule because they wanted a different date.

aaafranz,

You went through DOTS, but unless your I-130 was filed at the Embassy and not through the USCIS Dropbox, I don't think you're DCF. What Hank_ was saying was an "or" not an all-inclusive "and" option.

Hi everyone! Obviously someone is confused about the DCF ? - for the record and what I understood now I didn't do a direct consulate filing. my husband filed a CR1 petition via USCIS. I received an interview letter from the NVC last May 2014, my June 2014 interview cancelled as I have to go the TB DOTS treatment at SLEC.

Thank manilaraf!

if you have no luck at ustraveldocs.com

then it might be easier for you to email the IV Unit there at Manila, with the casefile #, tell them DOTS is finished up, and ask for the next available date. who knows? maybe it'll work this time, ah ?
