Hey everyone,

I called NVC today and they also told me that my application is in AP.

NVC created a case number 01/22/2015, 8 days ago.

I hope that this will move faster soon, cause the first wait from NOA1 to NOA2 was horrible.

Anyone has experience or can tell how long it took from NVC to embassy?

Standard procedure. Likely it'll come out of that status any day now & get forwarded to the Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany.

I am giving you a link to a thread discussing AP for K1's at NVC.

It can take a few weeks, or in my case nearly an extra two months.

No, it isn't standard. K1's, on the whole, only stay at NVC a few days. Some are taken out of the queue for extra scrutiny. We were told at interview, and in the FOIA request that we filed, that it was random.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

My apologies. I didn't know. I'd heard of very short AP's before, so assumed different processors handle things differently when you check statuses at ceac.state.gov. I was completely unaware that there exists an actual AP for the small I-129F part of the timeline where it is at NVC. Thanks for the info.

Now the question will be: How does it work with the IV appointment? Do we pick a day ourselves? Or is the NVC actually scheduling something for us?

You choose your appointment. When you receive Packet 3 (basically 1 instructional page), you'll know everything you need to know. If you haven't done the Medical, you should do that pronto. More info can be found here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Germany&cty=Frankfurt
