Hi all,

I have my interview on wednesday, so my wife, son and I are preparing for it.

What should we expect and how long does it take?

Also I am concerened about one note on the interview request: "Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application."

This concerns me as I mailed in the affidavit of support that had my wife as sponsor and cousin in law as co-sponsor, but I do not have copies or originals of these as they were already sent to immigration as part of the AOS application.

Will this be a problem?

Thank you in advance.

Hi!

Expect the interviewer to confirm all demographics and ask some very basic questions that you won't have any problems with (where/when did you meet? Where was your wedding? Have you met each others' family, etc.) Our interview was about 15 minutes and part of that was spent with Joan and the interviewer talking about Filipino food! We brought the kitchen sink per the instructions too, but she already had a huge file with everything in it up to that point. We gave her new documents (photos, insurance plans, joint bank account, etc.) and she added them to our file.

Mahalo/Salamat!

They're asking about supporting documents like tax transcripts, w2s, birth certificates, marriage certificates etc. You may or may not need it but it's best to be prepared.

Interview done in about 20 minutes today, all went well and didn't have to provide anything except the lease on my house. Interviewer had all previously sent documents and these were evidence enough. She just wanted to see us and talk in person, pretty much told me that AOS applications was good and now I just received online notice about card being produced. So super happy :)
