Is it? When you applied SSN ? I went SSD to apply SSN a day after I came here. But the lady said "I can't apply now. And I want to wait 2 weeks." She didn't accept my application too. Edited by san83

Thanks

They didn't ask me anything. To sum it up, I gave the officer the envelope and he called another person who asked me to follow him. Then, in that other place, I had to wait a bit, then they called me, I signed a paper and that's it. :)

Some states require Immigrants to apply for SSC manually even if you have selected the option in DS260 , go to your local SSA office with passport and apply. You should receive it within 2 weeks after applied.
