Hi All, I need some advice..... I got married in india and my husband is a US citizen, We have completed 2 years of our marriage and my husband visited me only once after marraige and that too on our 1st Anniversary, he was planning to visit me last october but he got stuck in some work so he had to cancel his trip, he has sent his parents to visit me and they are staying with me since 4 months now. I got my CC last week and waiting for my interview date so i was little concerned, will there be any problem about this???

No one can say. I mean the interview the relationship is about you and your husband. The bonafide relationship between the two of you. Hard to say if they will see the parents stay with you all this while a plus or not and not your husband.

Long as you communicate and all that Hopefully it will be okay.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The true answer is that you never know but you should do everything possible to have proof of bonafide relationship. Can he come for the interview with you, or at least come visit you while you have the interview? Facetime really helps a lot.

Although personal time matters significantly, there is no list per se to satisfy a bona fide relationship criteria. Evidence of continuous communication such as phone calls, skype chats, and other correspondence does help. The IO is looking for signs a bona fide marital relationship exists despite the physical distance. Not sure how staying with in-laws affects anything.

Are you able to post a timeline? I recently got married in India and just starting the journey to bring my wife to the US.

Thanks you so much everyone for your answers!!!!!

Me and my husband communicate with each other everyday through phone calls,Skype calls, viber msgs, since two years we got married my husband is supporting me every month i have all the receipts of western union,money grams. I have wedding album, invitation card, honeymoon tickets, our wedding DVD,I have photographs of our 1st anniversary,he came here in india so i also have a copy of his tickets, I Will also add few photographs of our pre marraige ceremonies..... its been now 15 months we haven't meet each other face to face as he gets stuck in something or the other work whenever he plans but on a daily basis we are in touch through calls, text and Skype....USCIS took 1 year to send the Approval and than another 11 months in NVC, twice we received checklist from NVC and each time 60 days wait notice we have received, the wait is really painful and now when we are so close I don't want anything to go wrong....So I am really Concern!!!!! please suggest,the proofs which i have mentioned will help or we need something more?
