It would help if the puppy resembles one of you. Send 2x2 passport style photocopies, recent visits, medical exam records and await a interview and hopefully no RFE.

Any joint property can, I believe, be used as evidence so long as there is documentation with both names on it. If your dog is, for example, AKC registered with both names on the registration or came from a breeder and both names are on the breeder contract or came from a rescue with both names on the approved application, this would be evidence of having made financial decisions together and that's what they're looking for, as I understand.

The house is probably better evidence than the dog because they see that more often and understand what it means more easily, but if you feel that you are lacking in physical evidence, then adding anything that has both your names on it can help. Joint memberships, former lease agreements, car loans, car titles, house deeds, mortgages, bank accounts, credit cards, birth certificates of children, phone contracts (such as family plans), any bills with both names on it. Send life insurance policies that show you as each other's beneficiary. If one of you is on the other's health insurance, send that. Car insurance policies. Yes, pet insurance policies that show both names, no kidding.

If it adds to the body of evidence that you live together and make decisions together, then it's a valid thing to include, in my opinion. Even if it seems silly, like you rented a clown for a party and both of you were on the contract with the clown, it can be added. Someone looking at your case may laugh for days, but as long as it's not illegal or something that would stick out as 'weird' for a married couple to share (like strippers or something), it's evidence.
