Sounds like you are disappointed there were only four police officers attacked . Their guns did prevent a lot of more destruction.

Authorities earlier had identified the three men as Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, both French and in their early 30s, and Hamyd Mourad, 18, whose nationality wasn't immediately clear.

You see the same folks that are talking about how violent Islam is are the same folks talking about hangings, torture, and murder with guns for any slight, real or perceived. As long as it's against the "right" kind of people, it's totally acceptable.

It's not so much the religion as what they think it represents. Because if 9/11 was committed by a bunch of bible thumping Americans talking about Revelations or the Rapture, do you think Christianity would take a hit? Hell no. They'd dismiss those dudes as crazy and wouldn't think twice about it. The majority makes the rules. This is why when folks go on shooting sprees, the outcome/decision to move forward will solely depend on the demographics of whose affected.

Still dancing around the fact that all them 300 million guns around here didn't save a single life when this country was subjected to a major terrorist attack. Quite the opposite, all them guns cost many more lives than terrorist have ever taken around these parts - and Europe combined. Many, many more. And that's true even in that terrible year.
