Yea….those Jewish extremists are always making the news

If you can think of a religion that is currently more dangerous than Islam……feel free it point it out. I patiently wait

when are ya'll going to get it through your heads that all religion is dangerous and all religion has the exact same potential for violence. it's just that we've been literally feeding and nurturing the growth of this particular group of extremists for years now. you and i pay to arm these fools with our taxes/military budget. seriously.

It's one thing to force feed a sermon or literature and quite another to cut off heads and kill people according to some twisted perception of sharia law

of course, no one is saying otherwise.

And here we find common ground. ANY religion can be twisted to fit some type of narrative. Look at the folks who argue that slavery is right because it's mentioned in the bible. Or the abortion bombers. Or the folks who totally twisted Mormon vision into some pedophile scenario. Or the WBC for that matter.

Imagine what the US would be like if there was no separation between church and state, and the religious leaders had similar ideas as Phelps or that leader of the Mormon group that was abusing those teenage girls.

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

As the world calls the French massacre Islamic terrorism, the prez, Howard Dean, and some other polticians will not

When mass shootings take place here, what do we call them? Christian terrorism? What makes one worse than the other?

And let us not forget that plenty of them religious folk in this country would tear down that wall of separation between church and state. In fact, they've hammered many holes and cracks into that wall already. If it was up to them, we'd be a theocracy real quick.

It's the same argument over and over again. The very folks who are complaining about Sharia law and it's brutal ways want to enact those same ways here in the US. They want torture and murder to be part of our legal system. They want to be able to profile and deport people based solely on their looks or religion. They want public hangings. It's the same thing, but because they're saying it, that makes it just.

if things keep going this way, eventually rw christians are going to start beating their own war drum for real, outside the safe cover of the 'us military'. and then their fringe is going to start looking to the bible and the book of revelation and hunkering in on ushering in end times. defeating islam. then we'll see just how dangerous christianity can be.

unless they,ve already realized what a good cover they've got and just keep on being crazy rw christians with the safe cover of our bloated military budget and endless taxpayer support to do as they please.

I know they will. The French appreciate their freedom of expression as much as we do ours.

Then why did the French government "suggest" back in May that the magazine tone down the rhetoric, while at the same time take measures to increase security around the world?

No death penalty in France.

It's no different than lynching a person because of the color of their skin based on the teachings of the bible.

Religion is not the problem so much as what people do in the name of god.

Zealots are dangerous. They give religion a bad name.
