Scared about DS 260

Okay we are yet waiting for NOA2 and this question sound stupid. And yet working on tax part and forms for ITIN.

So as we are reading about NVC, we need to file DS 260. And it seems long online form. I only found one pdf file link to the sample form. Is there any reference of sample DS 260 form?

And do we need exact date of death of parents? This is going to be crazy problem if we have to. I can trace it to year and month both but i might not get exact date of death of my parents.

Even when i was gone back to get all civil document during november, i tried obtaining the death cert of my parents and i could not obtain. They asked me why didnt you came to claim it in last 2 decade.

Can someone explain me now what is to be done???

Your parents' death certificates are not required for a spousal visa application.

Have you tried asking older relatives if they remember the exact date?

I have an issue.... I am not much in touch with folks back at home. For me after my parents they didnt meant anything. Personal reason.

But yea i will definately be able to get year and month from some of my relatives that i am in touch with. But exact date, i dont know.

What if i cant get the exact date. Can i write the rough approx date with correct month and year and can i explain the issue that i was tiny kid who lived in hostel and didnt had any idea that i needed such info and had not written documents noting those date to NVC. Will they accept it?

If not then i choose to go back and dig up all the info and trace the doc and hospital and get death certificate over trying to get info from my older relatives.
