My fiancé is coming from the UK --

My petition was approved on November 10th 2014, and my case number on the CEAC claims my case is ready as of Dec 16th -

We have all the documents ready from the checklist they sent with Packet 3 and are about to book the medical appointment.

What I am confused about is -

Is a DS-160 supposed to be filled out? When we search it on the london embassy site, it says just for "nonimmigrants" and the london consulate doesn't show up in the drop down menu.

How do we schedule our interview?

You do not schedule the interview, once the embassy has your medical results and the case file from NVC they will schedule it.

I believe you have to do the DS 160 but it's a newish thing so I am not familiar with that form, read the guides on here, they're very good and will tell you what you need to know.

Yes, you do a DS-160. The consulate is found in the drop down alphabetically under "E" --

Review the London website again for you K1 instructions here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Note there is another form (with a link to it) under Step Four.

When you have followed all the steps on that page, London will pick your interview date and notify you by letter.

Fiance should of received a letter telling them what to bring to interview. Yes DS-160 should be completed.

I was able to email the embassy and get my finances interview and medical exam on the same day so she only has to make one trip to London.

Go to the US embassy london website. Then visas. Open the contact us in the left menu. The last sentence starts with visa information. Open the CONTACT US link and scroll to the bottom of the questions to STILL HAVE A QUESTION. Open that and fill in the form. Name has to be the one on the DS-160. Also include your LND number.

And email addresses.

The embassy does not do afternoon interviews so they scheduled her interview in the morning and her medical is scheduled early afternoon.

Keep in mind the embassy will keep the passport at the interview so take a second form of photo ID to medical exam.

WOW thanks for the info. I will show this to my fiancé and see what he wants to do. Do you think this way delayed your process at all? How soon after your email did they contact you?

I literally had no idea they still allowed people to have their medical and interview on the same day. I wish I'd known this.

Well I m sure they will tell her approved or not dependent on her medical. She went to her dr. And got all of the immunizations she needed already. Don't think it will really slow things down.

I emailed them after reading on the website about it taking a week for them to get the results from the dr. Office and asked why the results couldn't be emailed or faxed with today's technology so they said after she made the appointment for the medical give them a call and they would schedule the interview. The reasoning was to only have one trip to london from Scotland which is about an 8 hr. Trip each way.

4- 5 days on the email. Last email I sent I received a reply the next day. They have been great in answering any questions I had.

Well I've already had my medical so it's too late for me just frustrating they don't offer this option more officially!

Yeah, it would be good if those who have to travel a certain length of time get an option to get it all done in one day. I can't complain too much, the train is 2 hours for me, but still it's quite costly. Pheebs - I remember 8 hour train journeys from Falmouth to Preston! It took about 5 hours to get through Cornwall/Devon I swear
