Last week I had my interview and was denied. I don't know how we didn't see it, but we used I-184ez when my husband doesn't make enough money

So I did the interview, and at the end she told me the bad news.

However, for me, its an easy fix. Right away his parents became my sponsor. and we mailed off the correct paper work with the correct income right away.

It made it to montreal today.

Anyways.. . I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this? I don't have to go to another interview, and I had to mail my passport with all the documents. But I'm just curious if they will contact me, or if it will just show up at loomis. Should I call? She said the turn around time is 4-6 weeks. but I just want it now!

Any information would be great

although you were told, verbally,

was there any paperwork about it,

and

did you scan that paperwork, prior to sending stuff out?

if yes, please edit/redact yer personal info, put it online somewhere like photobucket,

and wrap the url in an img tag here, so we can study it,

and give you more info.

as to the turn-around time, again, that's a verbal thing, based on conditions that day. things change, over time, aye?

and

that wasn't a hard denial, so stop fretting. you've been given another chance at it, so RELAX !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

This is pure curiosity so feel free not to answer if you wish, but did you not go through the NVC process? Il just suprised that NVC didn't pick up that you needed a sponsor? Or are you doing direct consular processing?

It is not a denial... they should have given 221g to submit joint sponsor.. within 3-5 days you will get a response... check the status online..

I have a copy of the paperwork, so I can scan that.

I have confirmation that the new documents made it to Montreal on Monday, so I'm going to call after the holidays and see at least what they say. I almost called today asking for a Christmas present ;)

It did go through the NVC. And I had no checklists or anything. This is why I was so surprised I was denied at my interview. I thought the same as you and that they would have caught it earlier. It sucks to travel 8hrs only to be denied.

On the paperwork it says first I was denied and then something about 221g. Where would I check this status? My case has been closed as per the NVC, now its with the consulate. Do they have a place I can check my progress?

I-864 - NVC vs IV Unit:

NVC checks the paperwork for completeness, does a gross math check.

IV Unit - completely adjudicates the I-864, meticulously checking it, line by line prior to interview day, with the casefile actually being there for 20 to 30 days prior to your interview.

using a telephone into Montreal - really? is possible to get a human there now? That's not been the case, maybe 4 years now.

usually, folk check status using the CEAC website - you got the url for it ?
