ds260, spouse also immigrating?

5 posts in this topic

I am an American petitioning for my German wife to live in the states. Currently I am living in Germany with her.

One of the questions on the DS 260 is asking her if her spouse will be immigrating to the states with her. I will, of course, be moving to the states with her, but is that considered to be immigrating?

Thank you very much for any help on this question.

As a note, we checked YES for this question (I'm a USC living abroad with my husband and I don't know, it just felt weird answering no). I had no problems with NVC or at the interview. But, I guess I would still follow the advice from the other posters. I just don't think it's too serious. I was a wreck when I saw that I "shouldn't have" check that one.

Good luck!
