I forgot a pen one time and had to ask others to borrow a pen to fill customs forms during travel. Now I double check that I have at least one pen with me before going to the airport.

Wow! that sucks.. well, thank you for the advice. I'll probably just take cash with me then.

Yeah it does suck. I had to get out of line to go back to the front of the Terminal 1 and get money out of the atm so that I could leave the country.

Since July 23, 2014 VISA credit cards can be used to pay the travel tax NAIA Terminals 2 and 3. I believe when I departed in September I remember seeing that credit cards are accepted for the Terminal Fee also.

Hi All! Can I pay my travel tax and terminal fee using credit card? I am leaving this Saturday!!!

Thanks!

It appears there's a change in the works for the terminal fee to be included in the airplane ticket purchase.

You might want to look at your itinerary and see if you have already paid the 550 :)

the 550 is for terminal fee. I can pay for that with cash no problem. But the travel tax is quite expensive and there are 3 of us leaving that I will pay for.. :(

TIEZA launched on July 23, 2014 the credit and debit card payment system for travel tax NAIA Terminals 2 and 3.

The service is open to VISA credit cards and to locally-issued debit cards (these are your regular ATM cards covered by Megalink and Bancnet.)

http://www.tieza.com.ph

Beginning now you can pay your travel tax online with a ATM card or Credit Card. This Site allows you to pre-register and pre-pay your Travel Tax before your departure. For more information use the link below.

They have literally been saying that for almost 3 years na. I remember because it came out I think early 2012 or late 2011 that the terminal fee would be included in the ticket. Then a couple months later I fly to the Philippines and I still have to pay the terminal fee to fly down to Davao. Pissed me off actually.

My best guess is that they will try and charge you twice to get extra money.

Only if the ticket is purchased in the Philippines.

On November 1, 2014 it was reported that the Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) ordered the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) to stop implementing the integrated airport terminal fee.

OFWs are exempt and this would require them to get a refund if it is included in the ticket.

It still requires payment whether online or at the terminal. The only examptions are listed at TIZEA. If you ride the bus you pay the tax. Lol Edited by Greenbaum
