Hello,

I wanted to know if anyone has an experience at the Consulate office in Kenya; whether they allow fiance/applicant to attend the interview with the petitioner? Please advise.

Thank you,

Hi!! No. they don't allow the fiance/applicant to attend the interview. The interview is just for the beneficiary.

Thank you Daveadams3, is this to all embassies? Reason am asking is, I have a friend who was able to attend her fiance's interview in South Africa and I read in the embassy info (here on visa journey) that south africa allows it; but not in Kenya. And it looks like some countries allow it and some don't.

I was hoping if anyone had a hands on experience at the specific consulate office.

Thanks,

Hi,

It looks like according to the reviews on VJ see the link that the Petitioner is not allowed in. Read the review posted on March 25, 2014. But, to be 100% you should call or phone the Embassy.

you can go but you wont be allowed to go all the way in....they will make you wait at the reception.... ......and you can only attend the interview if they requested you to.

all the best

Thank you all, they didn't allow the applicant and the petitioner felt comfortable to just do the interview without even requesting for his spouse to join him. and he got the visa. Yay :)

Thanks, for the tips.
