I Sent Massege today to cairo embassy to know what happen to my AP And The Reply From Embassy is :

What that mean they will need new doucments ? or i will get visa soon beacse my passports taken by the consalur in the interview already , i am in ap from 14 oct 2014

did they say that you were approved after the interview?

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

the consalur tell us every thing is ok but you will go to ap it take from 1 to 3 months and when it end we will call you to receive your passports and tell in the final " happy life in usa"

They just said that you will be notified once their administrative process is completed. The administrative process is not a sign that you will get approved or denied, they just can't make their decision about your case yet. Hope you get your visa soon #PATIENCE

10/08/2015: AOS packet sent to USCIS (Chicago lockbox) via USPS Priority mail (They received it 10/10/15).

10/16/2015: Text/eEmails received from USCIS with receipt number. We received 3.

10/22/2015: Received hard copies of NOA's for I-131, I-765, & I-485.

11/01/2015: Got NOA for biometrics appt (for 11/12/15).

11/03/2015: Did WALK IN biometrics appt - took 15 mins. Person taking said work permit should be in mail in less than 4 wks.

12/09/2015: Got email/text notification for INTERVIEW date.

12/28/2015: Got email/text notification EAD card has been mailed.

12/31/2015: Received EAD/AP card.

01/11/2016: INTERVIEW (in Los Angeles office).

01/11/2016: Case in in "CONTINUANCE". Awaiting approval. (Feels like AP).

06/27/2016: I-485 APPROVED - (FINALLY!!!) / 264 DAYS (8 MONTHS 20 DAYS)

07/01/2016: GREEN CARD RECEIVED

Depending on when they are complete some things may have expired like your police certificate. Your medical (remember its only good for 6 months to get to the US). So just wait until notified. Doesn't mean you are approved at all. They may request more from you. Bt taking your passport usually is a good sign.

Ap is a black hole, only they know when finish.

I am in ap from march 24, i am from the caribean fron a cristian country and i am in ap.

They say that is 3 months but it isnt truth, ap can be days, weeks , months or years, only they know the timeline.

Good luck and i hope your ap doesnt taje long.

just received my visa from 1 hour After almost 2 months From Ap But Have small mistake in my visa they write my birthday by mistake in visa 23may1994 but my real birthday 23march1994 there will be problem in airport or not ??

CONGRATS!!!..This error could be fixed easily as long as it's THEIR error and of course don't travel before you fix it at the consulate first.
