Hello we would like to ask for any help regarding our friend's case.

Here is the facts:

1. Mother is A US citizen. She hired a lawyer ans petitioned her Son (below 21 y/o) and Daughter, however it was only his son that got approved while her daughter's case is still pending because she got married.

Her mother filed another petition since her daughter is filing an annulment.

What's the best thing to do?

Wait for the priority date to become current.

The Visa Bulletin shows current priority dates. Updated every month.

hi

she didn't have to file another petition, now the daughter has two cases at the same time.

the i130 first form, can take from months to years since she has many years of waiting. she has to wait a very long time until there is a visa available for her. what country are they from?

she will have to withdraw second petition and when the i130 is approved and sent to the National Visa center, the center can update her status, with the copy of the annulment, and change from Category F3 to F1.

From the Philippines. So the best thing to do is wait for the annulment papers.
