Any idea why the USCIS would send that to me?

I guess just in case you didn't enter legally and have no I-94 to submit. Send the I-94 and you won't need the Supplement A.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I will do that. Should I also fill out the Supplement A and put na on the part that makes no sense? Might look bad not filling it out when they specifically sent it with all the other requests.

They are asking for either proof of legal entry or an I-485A.

If you are sending a copy of your I-94 (which you should have with the original submission - it's a required document asked for in the instructions) then you should not send an I-485A.

That makes sense. It just confused me because two of the five pages they sent were I-485A

Hypnos was correct. No, you do not send the I-485A. It does not pertain to you and you would also need to pay the $1000 fee for it too.

I do not know what your RFE said exactly but it is my best guess that it was asking for the proof you entered legally, the I-94, which was required to be sent with the I-485 to begin with. Then the talk of the I-485A was probably stating you would need to supply that document if you entered without inspection and could not provide them proof of your legal entry.

My guess and i repeat my guess is that your point of entry is not clear to them, cross check what you filled as your last poe and then work from there, if it is stamped and you have the i94 info online i would suggest asking your lawyer or contacting them and asking.

12/24/2014.................forms i130, i485, i765, i131 mailed via usps12/26/2014.................forms delivered01/05/2015.................NOA1 for all forms wth 26th dec as priority date01/24/2015.................bio apt received for 02/0601/26/2015................. walk in bio failed, supervisor said that the office is way to busy to come back closer to my apt date02/06/2015................. completed biometrics02/11/2015.................Aos status update 'case is ready to be scheduled for an interview'<p>02/24/2015................EAD updated to 'card in production' AP updated to case approved

09/17/2015....... interview scheduled for OCT 21st.

10/21/2015....... attended interview, approved on the spot, also received updates on case status.

10/23/2015...... green card mailed

USCIS can't tell you anything from calling since they aren't allowed to see the papers that I was sent on their system and they would be legally liable if they gave me the wrong info. They refused to connect me to a higher up. They gave me a number to a free lawyer. Big help they are. Anyway I sent all the info back without the I-485A. I'm scared of the reply I might get.

if you have a stamp on your passport maybe you could have copied that page as well to show them
