One of the questions on the DS-160 form asks for the receipt/petition number from USCIS....I assuming they mean the WAC number or is it the new case number I recieved from NVC that starts with LND????

They are really confusing... very complicated :)... goodluck to all of us.

Yes several of the questions are very confusing and has wording more difficult than necessary. We just keep going over and over it.

I put the Texas Service Center number as it clearly asked for the number USCIS assigned to you with your original petition. That wasn't a problem for me at my interview.
I've seen people saying both here, and since it's a common confusion I don't think it matters that much.

Best advice I can offer was just said by LionessDeon : )

I had my fiancée login on the DS160 and go over everything, she found where I had misspelled a few Filipino names : ( I found a copy of my own mistakes. We each went over it 3 or 4 times before we were happy with it. we both actually printed it out and reviewed it over Skype.

You can both log into the system at the same time we did, but the system seemed to get confused on what page it was supposed to be on when we did this, so I strongly recommend not to do so, it could cause errors on your form.

We used the new number issued by NVC, this is what you case will be tracked by from now on. it was accepted by the system and the consulate in the interview. if I remember correctly there is a spot on the DS160 for you to put the # received on NOA2 as well, if you want to ad it, I do not see the harm, but it is not needed on the DS160.

Best of wishes
