How long does it usually take to get an interview date after submitting the DS 160?

I think it depends on the consulate. my location London embassy is super busy but they appoint them fairly fast I hear.

It also depends on what else needs to be done in order for an appointment to be scheduled. For London/UK, this means completed medical results and notification of applicant readiness form as well as the completed DS-160. Once all three have been received, it can take up to 6 weeks, though sometimes much sooner. And we must wait to hear from London. However, for Filipino beneficiaries, they book their own interviews, so can sometimes get a much earlier date. Your process at the Jamaican embassy might be slightly different.

Submitted ds on 9/30/14 interview date for 11/14/2014 so about a months time I would say..
