Embassy is so slow...

I am starting to wonder if we're ever going to get our interview date.

Medical and readiness was submitted 8/10 and we have not heard from the embassy in regards to interview.

Other couples who had their medical around the same time we did have already had their interviews and some are already in the US..

Yes, it's been about a week since I emailed them.

The response we got was the same that everyone gets...

"You should expect to receive your interview appointment date by mail within six weeks of submitting the Notification of Applicant Readiness form confirming that you have completed your application form, scheduled a medical examination, and obtained the documents that you will be required to bring with you to your visa interview. We cannot guarantee an interview on or by any set date."

SMH - We must be the only couple who hasn't received our interview date.

I don't understand what the delay is...

What option did you select when you were sending them a message? In my experience, they seem to respond better to some options compared to others. I would say, use one of these two and start the message as if you were mailing them for the first time. And give them a marriage date or something and plead! It worked for me, I hope it does for you too. Good luck!

I'll try contacting them again.

I may even submit another form of readiness. But, surely they received one of the two we have submitted.

I'll make my desperation known.

Did you send your readiness form after your medical or on same day as it?

I submitted my readiness form a month before my medical as I had already done the packet 3 form and booked my medical, this is why my interview was so soon after my medical, three weeks or so later. I also had a set date for when I wanted to travel on the readiness form.

Those with the same medical date to you might have done something similar which could be the reason they have already had their interview.

Just an idea, I could be wrong but you never know.

If this is the case then you will get interview notification soon I should think, hang in there :-)

This really has to be a joke...

Embassy records show that on September 17 the Immigrant Visa Unit sent your fiancé a letter notifying him that they are ready to begin processing his application. To date, there is no record of him completing and submitting the forms. I have proof that everything has been submitted. How could they possibly say that?

Not to mention the, now 3, form of readiness that have been submitted. Yet, they say no record of completing and submitting the forms.

I may have came up with a logical reason for the delay or maybe I am just making excuses, IDK.

I think our file is in a box somewhere waiting to be scheduled. Our wedding isn't planned until 13/12.

Perhaps that is why the interview has not been scheduled. They are waiting until closer to the wedding date?

That's the best thing I can come up.

3 life events in 1 month... Immigration (?), wedding (12/13) and a baby (12/27)....

I need a nap. Probably even a vacation.

I can't wait for all of this to be over.

Huh, that is officially odd. Do you have the code from the page at the confirmation page at the end of the ds160 that it says to print out and take to interview. If you put this number into a new message to them they might be able to find it?

Yes I replied back with the AA # and an inline picture of the confirmation.

I am at lost for words, completely.

My fiance is going to call Knightsbrige tomorrow. That's the only possible thing that could not be there. But why wouldn't it be?

The medical was done the 8th of October. There's been plenty of time to send the medical results...

I just came in to check up on everyone.

I realise I haven't been waiting as long as some but still anxious.

I just sent my second email to London embassy to ask if my notification of readiness and ds-160 have been received.

I completed both on October 23rd, emailed embassy on 27th because I heard they have a tendency to go missing, medical on 29th, messaged again just now.

Our wedding is set for December 14th. Massachusetts weather isn't friendly to Winter weddings lol and we don't want to leave it much later. Then again, in the grand scheme of things...I'd get married butt naked in Boston harbour this minute if I knew everything was going to be ok!

It's been nearly a month for us and they claim 0 paperwork has been turned in..

My fiance contacted Knightsbridge yesterday and was told that the results were sent on Oct 10th.

So, I have came to the conclusion that the person who answered my question was too lazy to check our file.

I, personally, have submitted 3 forms of readiness and the Medical results are sent by a third party.

The DS160 was sent on Oct. 7th (Confirmation in hand)

I did not get a response from the embassy yesterday but our file was "touched".

Normally I can see the touch and get an email same day. Still nothing today either...

So I am hopefull that they issued the interview date yesterday. Wishful thinking, I know...

We have until Nov 19th until we reach the 6th week since submitted. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon.
