First thanks to all of you guys for your sound advise you gave us during my wife's immigration (CR1) could not have done it without you.

We have a friend you is planning to come to the US on a K1 Visa. She has a 20 year old son with disabilities who will immigrate with her.

Will the fact that the son has disabilities have any effect on her/ their immigration? Will this fact slow down or speed up the process ?

Thanks.

That would depend on the disabilities.

It would not speed anything up.

Also with the son being 20 is there a chance that he will reach 21 before a visa can be issued?

I seriously doubt the disabilities will be any kind of issue, but his age could easily become an issue as he will "age out" when he turns 21. The visa process must be completed before he turns 21 years of age.

Once the application is made, I thought the Child's age was frozen until decision is made by Immigration?
