Deciding which visa to get K-3/K-1

Hello again, we haven't yet made the decision which visa to go with, probably sometime next week. I have another question though. What if you go with the spouse visa (Cr-1/IR-) and during that process she gets pregnant? Then let's also say that she has our child in her home country during the waiting process? To have to file an amended application and how long would that extend the wait and process?

You would file a Consular Report of a Birth Abroad (CRBA), and if accepted the child would be considered a U.S. Citizen, so a passport would be assigned and the child can travel freely, without a visa requirement.

Oh nice....Meaning that if that were to happen, I should be there in person to make sure our child is a U.S. citizen (hopefully).

Second question for Visa (both k-1/Cr-1/IR-1) Philippines has a consulate office in Cebu, but the embassy is Manila. Where would you place her for her interview? Manila?

I don't know the process for a CRBN, but that forum I linked prior would be the best place to ask that. I'm a USC and I had my children in the US.

Manila is typically where the interviews take place, but you could ask that in the regional sub-forum.

Such interviews are only conducted in Manila.
