Hello everyone. Today I received the letter stating that my case has been completed by the NVC :dancing:

Anybody know how long it usually takes to receive the letter for the interview? My Embassy would be in Frankfurt if that helps. The reason I ask is because of New Years plans since I was expecting to still be here during that time. Thanks so much in advance.

Congrats! Your CC just came in time for the next round of interview scheduling! NVC will start assigning December dates this or next week. I was assigned an interview date 1 week after our CC (at the beginning of October), then it took 3 business days until I received the interview letter and they shipped it to Frankfurt.

You can compare and get an idea of how long it took other applicants to get their date for Frankfurt by looking at the interview spreadsheet:

Come join the interview thread ;) I feel lonely as the only active German there

Thank you StrawberryKiss, I hope I get a letter soon :)

@teefah, turns out I was upset about it for nothing, a couple of days later I ended up receiving a checklist stating that I needed to present the missing documents at the Embassy at the time of the interview. :)

Hey strawberry, sorry to bother you again, I just saw you already had your medical exam done so I wanted to ask you about it. Did you get the results given to you or do they send it directly to the consulate. And how far in advance do you think I should wait to do the Medical? :)

No problem ;) I am glad to help!

I had my medical done in Frankfurt since it was the closest physician to me and they do walk-ins (no appointment needed). Their office actually sends the results directly to the embassy, so it only takes 2-3 business days for them to receive those documents. I would recommend doing the medical 2 weeks before the interview at the latest. I mean 1 week before would probably still be fine as well, but to me it's just cutting it too close in case there is a problem (but that's just my opinion since I am just a very cautious person :D ). Altogether, I was there for about 50 mins only.

This just refers to my experience in Frankfurt. I don't know how other physicians handle the medical.

Oh, that's good then since someone told me they were going to hand me something to take with me to the interview. It's just the information I needed then since I also have to go to Frankfurt. :) Thank you for the info.
