Checklist - I-864

I received a checklist for my I-864 form yesterday because item 7 in part 3 did not match the number entered in Part 5 item1.

Is this minor error going to cause additional delay of another 60 days?

Does anyone know if it is a minor error as stated above does NVCgo through my file again quickly or will i go back to the bottom of the totem pole?

Please advise.

i saw some cases here where there checklists were reviewed from 15 to 60 days

Hi there. I received a very similar letter. Once I called NVC and asked them about it they told me that my petitioner would have to refill the form and send it to me (the beneficiary) so I could present it at the Embassy at the time of my interview so your best bet is just to call and get a confirmation from them.

We got one for the exact same issue, and it took NVC 33 days (from scanning in the response) to complete the case. It seems like they're starting to pick up the pace for document review.

Thanks for the response. I am the petitioner and i am the one sending in the I-864 documents and it has be sent directly to NVC from me before it even gets to the embassy.

NVC really needs to get inline with the 21st century and take better use of the technology that is available if they cant get the budget to hire new folks. Having US citizens wait for their spouse for year to two years is just insane to me. I really feel for the folks who have been waiting for 2-3 years.
