Hello Guys,

Today was my interview and oath at Portland, OR.

The interview was at 7:00 AM went there about 6:50 AM, checked in and waited in the waiting room till they called my name at 8:00 AM, the officer was a young lady very sharp and professional which was okay with me.

I noticed that she was trying to make sure that my English was good enough for me to understand her, as well as responding back to her. anyway we both sat and she asked me my full name then asked me to stand up and swear that all info is correct, then she went over the application kinda in detail ( Likely I had a copy of the application before submission so it made it easier for me).

she moved on to civic and English test then she printed me a letter says that I passed and asked me if I want to attend the oath of afternoon, I said yes, printed me a letter and that was it. (The whole interview was about 15-20 min)

let go to the Oath, the ceremony was about 40 min long, you just need to check that the certificate is correct before you sign it and leave the building.

ITS DONE! Take the oath today and it was an awesome feeling to have it done. bad part is me and my family don't even get a chance to take pics after the oath with the judge as we don't expect a long hour for the oath. oath scheduled time is 11;30 am got there at 10:15 pretty much early as we can't predict the traffic everyday. check in exact 11:30 and the judge came out at 1pm. Done 1:50pm and our car parking time will be over at 2pm {so expensive to pay car parking} so soon as i got my certificate we rush to the parking before times out or my car will be towed. but all and all it was great. thank Vj's family for all the inputs and supports in this journey.

Day 5 - 04/06/2012 - "Acceptance confirmation received for entire forms & routed to NBC" was sent via email.
Day 10 - 04/11/2012 - NOA for I-{130/AOS/AP/EAD} Received.
Day 15 - 04/16/2012 - NOA for Biometrics appointment Received. {Scheduled for 05/08/12}
Day 37 - 05/08/2012 - Biometrics app completed.
Day 44 - 05/15/2012 - Interview date schedule @ Dallas/Irving TX..
Day 54 - 05/25/2012 - EAD/AP production Notification.
Day 75 - 06/15/2012 - Interview'd with NO approval. 1 hr Post-interview: Received I-485/Card production email.

My husband passed all tests at the interview but was not immediately recommended for naturalization because of a need for document review according to the officer.

· arrived at 9:30am for a 10:09am appointment

· went through security

· notice was stamped at a desk after the security check

· we were told to give the notice/check in at customer service window 5

· was called in around 10:15 (i was not allowed to go in with him)

· interview experience:

o officer reviews immigration history/asks questions (in english): you got your green card in 2012, but you were in Mexico 2010-2012 because of the 601 process?, so you entered illegally?, so you didn't get married just to get your citizenship?, etc.

o have you ever been arrested?, etc. (in english)

o was told: you have passed all the tests today but we still need to review all the paperwork and verify that everything is in order ... you will receive notification in the mail and if you are recommended for naturalization, the oath ceremony info will be mailed

o NOTE: officer did not review or collect any documents (originals or copies) that were brought (spouse's birth certificate, marriage certificate, proof of bona fide marriage/shared address, current MEX passport, passport photos, etc.)
